Prenatal Wellness
We need to talk about the 4th trimester.
We spend hours planning how we want the birth experience to go, but very little time thinking about the days and weeks after you bring your newborn home. This time is particularly intense and emotional, and the learning curve is steep. You’re getting to know your baby, trying to figure out how to feed and take care of them, waking up at all hours of the night, and all the while trying to heal from the physical and emotional impacts of childbirth.
I want to help you plan for the arrival of your baby in a radical new way.
Instead of focusing on which bassinet to buy or deciding if you want to use cloth diapers, I want to focus on your mental and emotional wellness. And if you are partnered, the emotional wellness of your relationship too. Because we know that support and education during the prenatal period can be instrumental to helping you thrive as you become a parent.
Below are the specific prenatal wellness sessions designed to support you before the baby arrives.
-
Prenatal Check In
This hour long session is sort of like a pre-natal class, but instead of learning how to change a diaper, we will focus on pre & postnatal mental health. We will discuss anything and everything, including the emotional changes happening during and after pregnancy, the complex nature of perinatal mood disorders and how to take care of yourself in the face of a challenging culture of motherhood.

Build a 4th Trimester Guide
Building a guide for the 4th trimester is crucial for the wellbeing of new parents. In this session, I will work with you to draw up a living document for your family that is detailed and clear. This plan will include community resources, tools to help manage stress and helpful tips to get you through the first few days and weeks.
1 hour + delivery of completed plan/$150 +GST/partners or family encouraged to join

Partnered & Connected
This session is designed for partners who want to support and care for the mama and birther-to-be, as well as stay connected to themselves in the postnatal period. I touch on how to support someone during pregnancy, and what to expect in the first few days and weeks after the baby arrives. We will also chat about how to create and maintain balance in your new family, where both parents feel like they are taking care of themselves and the relationship. Bring your questions, worries, and excitement, and I will walk through them with you in a way that’s going to make sense.
