Hi, I’m Katy Minhinnick, a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Terrace, British Columbia. I offer counselling and therapy for individuals, parents, and caregivers who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions.
My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in both somatic and attachment-based practices. I believe that therapy is not just about coping, but about remembering who you are beneath the survival patterns, and learning to move through life with greater steadiness, connection, and self-trust.
I feel deeply honoured to do this work in Northern BC and to support people in finding more ease and authenticity in their lives. Whether you’re seeking counselling for yourself, your relationship, or your parenting journey, I offer a space where your story is met with compassion and curiosity.
In addition to my counselling practice, I offer workshops and reflective writing experiences for the broader Terrace community and beyond. These gatherings explore themes of nervous system regulation, self-compassion, and the intersection between healing and creativity. Writing has always been a core part of my work — a way to give shape to the inner world and to honour the beauty and complexity of being human.
